I have a friend or two that are working toward becoming a teacher and they were on my mind when I happened across these decorative buttons. I remembered blackboards being very much a part of classrooms when I went to school so I wanted to represent that as well. I wrapped a 5-inch ring in brown thread for the wooden frame and webbed it in black for the board portion. I then took two pencils and a sharpener, a crayon and a sheet of notebook paper, and a listing of various subjects.
