This is one of the rare ones I've done that's more traditional. The 5-inch ring is wrapped in a brown leather and webbed with a length of orange hemp cord. I have four hangings on the bottom with graduated beads in orange, red, and yellow. A orange flower bead hangs from the top. I like the way the graduated beads worked out and I'm thinking of other ways I can use that.

I came across this gorgeous autumn butterfly at the craft store and knew I had to do something with it. Once home I started going through my stash of stuff and found some lovely copper metallic thread that looked perfect. I wrapped the 7-inch ring in a dark chocolate brown thread that I love working with and used the metallic thread to create a tight webbing. I took a length of light brown thread and loosely wrapped it around the ring, stringing cat's eye beads left over from another project around the inside of the ring. I found some other wooden beads that I'd purchased for another project and ended up not using and hung them from the bottom of the ring. Finally I attached the butterfly to his perch and called it done.
